Who we are
Lamplit Studios is the trading name of Lamplit Studios Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17525280). Our registered office address is in our privacy policy. You can contact us at [email protected].
Buying
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Your licence
When you buy Small Hours you get a licence key that lets you use the software. You're buying a licence to use it, not the software itself. With your licence you may:
- install and use Small Hours on the computers you personally use (for example a studio desktop and a laptop);
- use it in your music and other productions, including commercial releases, with no extra fees or royalties. The sounds Small Hours produces, including its rain and room recordings, are yours to use in your work.
If your order is refunded or the payment is charged back, the licence ends and the key is cancelled: Small Hours checks this now and then while you're online, and stops accepting a cancelled key.
You may not share, sell or publish your licence key; copy or distribute the software; or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this. If you'd like to transfer your licence to someone else, email us.
Free trial
Small Hours works fully for 14 days after you first run it. After that it stops processing (your audio passes through unchanged) until you activate a licence key.
Updates and support
We may release updates to fix problems and add features. We'll help with problems by email and aim to reply within a few working days.
Our responsibility to you
We work hard to make Small Hours reliable, but software can contain bugs. Please keep backups of your projects. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost work or lost profits, caused by using the software. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you can bring claims in the courts where you live.
